Funded by ESSR III with primary Intent and purpose of ARP of 2021, ESSER III funding is to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and addressthe impact of the coronvirus pandemic on students.











Terms of Employment:



Works 194 days per year. Pay is at Paraprofessional/Clerical Job on the CISD Compensation Plan. Entry level is at an hourly rate of $16.40 with additional consideration for directly related experience.







Primary Purpose:



Assist in the attainment of district goals by collaborating with school and district staff to implement a parent involvement program that ensures the active engagement of parents, community, and campus while supporting the academic achievement of students. The Parent and Family Liaison acts as a public relations liason between the campus and the community ensuring parents have adequate access to information, services, and the support they need to make sure their child achieves academic an social success in school. the Liason works cooperatively with the family educators and he community in promoting improved school attendance; makes hom visits; cuducts parent involvement activities; participates in supporting role for student's acheivement; and performs other duties as assigned.







Qualifications:



Education/Certification:



High school diploma or GED (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).

Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee.

Possess valid driverís license and a good driving record; meet and maintain State of Texas liability insurance-coverage eligibility.
